Her childhood years were spent in Albert City, Ia., where she received her education, graduating from Albert City High School. Following high school, she attended business school in Mankato, Minn.

She married Robert W. Johnson in November of 1958 in Albert City, Ia. and to this union two children were born: Richard and Randall. Treva loved animals and enjoyed taking care of her pets, growing flowers and visiting friends.
