One ejected in rollover near Moneta

Two Spencer teens, others also injured

A rollover accident involving a single truck, at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, two miles south of Moneta injured multiple passengers, including one who was ejected and pinned beneath the vehicle.

Fire and rescue units extracted Collin McKee,14, from beneath the truck, and Spencer Ambulance transported him to the Spencer Hospital. No information on his condition was available.

Albert Hank Voss IV, 18, of Hartley, the driver of the 2001 Ford truck, was traveling southbound on 100th Avenue when he lost control in the 3800-mile, entered the west ditch, and rolled the truck.

Additional passengers in the truck were triaged by medical staff at the scene and picked up by family members. Those treated and released included: Harry Lee Pederson, 15, of Hartley; Levi Jacob Verdoorn, 14, of Sanborn; Alecia Sue Stifft, 14, of Spencer; and Haley Marie Nielsen, 15, of Spencer.

Traffic charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.

O'Brien County Sheriff's deputies were assisted at the scene by the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Hartley Police Department, Royal Fire & Rescue, Everly Ambulance and Spencer Ambulance services, including paramedics and first responders.
