Thursday, May 10, 2012

Following Matthew McCauley, 33, of Whittemore's arrest on drug delivery and manufacturing charges by the Clay County Sheriff's Office Wednesday, May 2, at DeWolf Park, east of Spencer; additional charges have been filed by the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office in relation to the theft of a Honda ATV four-wheeler taken on April 30, in Graettinger.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office charged McCauley with second degree felony theft after he allegedly took the ATV, valued at $3,500, from the driveway of Larry and Marcia Patten's home in Graettinger.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office, who originally arrested McCauley, subsequent to their investigation discovered information concerning the ATV theft. The Clay County office contacted Kossuth County Sheriff's deputies, and the ATV was recovered in Whittemore.

McCauley is being held in the Palo Alto County Jail.
