Funeral services for Miss Frances Weber, 95, of Spencer, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at First Congregational Church in Spencer. Rev. Tom and Rev. Wendy Van Tassell will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Miss Weber passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Northshire Residence in Spencer.

Memorials may be given to the Iowa Hospice in Spirit Lake.

Frances Evelyn Weber, the daughter of William A. and Christina (Johansen) Weber was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Spencer, Ia. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, where she graduated from Spencer High School.

Throughout her adult years Frances remained in Spencer, working as a secretary for Peterson Sheep and Cattle for 50 years, until her retirement in 1984. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer, where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship and the Agnes Felt Guild. She was also a volunteer at the Hospital Auxiliary for many years and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Howard Weber.

Left to cherish her memory are her many special friends including: Dean and Diane Parks and Mary Kay Zinn.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
