An anonymous tip of underage drinking and marijuana use resulted in the arrest of three Spencer males.

At approximately 8:53 p.m. Thursday, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to 3655 240th Avenue Lot 61 in Spencer to investigate a tip regarding underage drinking and marijuana use.

The sheriff's deputies and Spencer Police responded to the location and discovered underage drinking taking place.

Elisha Howe, 18, of Spencer, was found sitting in a vehicle in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol, and was placed under arrest.

Also allegedly drinking was Jonathan Guider, 19, of Spencer, who was placed under arrest.

After further investigation, Kenneth Bauerly, 43, of Spencer, was charged after it was found he supplied beer to minors.

All three were transported to the Clay County Jail.

Guider was charged with underage alcohol possession and held on a $470 surety bond. Bauerly was charged with supplying alcohol to minors and later released. Howe was charged on the marijuana and paraphernalia charges, as well as underage alcohol possession, and held on a $1,000 cash surety bond.
