Three others charged with interference

Suspicious activity lead to three arrests for interference with official acts and one arrest for a Clay County arrest warrant.

At approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday, a Clay County deputy observed what he felt was suspicious activity at 21 E. Park St. in Spencer. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered Griffin Clark, 28 Spencer, who allegedly took off running and was later found hiding in the shower. Clark was wanted on a Clay County arrest warrant for failing to comply as a sex offender, a class "D" felony.

Griffin was placed under arrest as was Ronald Hughes, 55, Brenda Hastings, 64, and Timothy Wieczorek Jr., 49 - all of Spencer.

All four were transported to the Clay County Jail.

Clark was booked and is currently being held on a $5,000 cash bond.

Hughes, Hastings and Wieczorek were charged with interference with official acts and were held on a $300 cash or surety bond.
