Titled "Local to Global and Back Again: From Okoboji to Around the Americas," Thoreson's presentation will describe how his Okoboji roots inspired his early interest in water quality and local environmental concerns, and eventually lead him to journey the world's oceans by sailboat to document and educate audiences about climate change, ocean acidification and other major environmental issues.
The talk is free and open to the public; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
To make reservations, call 712-337-3669, ext. 4, or email email@example.com. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
