Newsboys bring tour to Spencer

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Newsboys' front man Michael Tait serenades more than a thousand spectators at the Clay County Regional Events Center Saturday evening. The "God's Not Dead" Tour also brought Anthem Lights, Abandoned, The City Harmonic and speaker Bob Lenz to Spencer.

Duncan Phillips takes a break from the drums to spur on the crowd with the use of a bull horn. Phillips was later elevated and revolved while playing drums for the band's version of "Jesus Freak," which was made famous by Michael Tait's original band dc Talk.
Jeff Frankenstein's silhouette stands out from the blue lights during the Newsboys' set Saturday evening. For more photos, see the gallery at www.spencerdailyreporter.com.

Were you at the show? Interesting perspective. In actuality, it was a fantastic show with great music, lights and stage effects.
