Sioux Central searching for new superintendent

Sioux Central Community School District is seeking a new leader, following the Monday evening resignation of Dan Frazier as superintendent effective June 30.

Frazier had been with the district for six years and will be accepting a new position as superintendent of a district just outside of the Twin Cities.

"We have an outstanding group of kids, an amazing staff," Frazier said. "I've been honored to be part of the great work here at Sioux Central."

The district's school board has hired McPherson & Jacobson LLC to conduct the search for a new superintendent.

Public input is also being requested.

A Community Open Forum will be hosted at 6 p.m. on March 26 to develop a profile of qualifications expected for the new superintendent.

A second meeting will be April 4, and applications are due April 16. Finalists will be selected April 30, interviews will run May 7-11 and the new superintendent will start July 1.
