Funeral servies for Mrs. Lora Kisch, 100, of Spencer, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Paul Kaldahl will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Mrs. Kisch passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at home in Spencer.

Lora Lena Kisch, the daughter of Fred and Mina (Rabe) Hanselman, was born April 25, 1911, in West Bend, Ia. Her childhood years were spent in West Bend, where he received her education. She was baptized and confirmed at the Peace Lutheran Church in West Bend. Following her schooling, she remained in West Bend.

Lora married Wendell Kisch on July 10, 1948, in West Bend. Following their marriage, they lived for a short time in West Bend, before moving to Spencer, Ia., where they made their home. Lora worked at Spencer Hospital in the housekeeping department for 22 years, until her retirement her retirement in August of 1987. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. Lora enjoyed gardening up until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wendell Kisch on April 4, 1964; five brothers: Leo, George, John, William and Alvin Hanselman; and three sisters-in-law: Grace, Florence and Leota Hanselman.

Left to cherish her memory are one sister-in-law, Retta Hanselman of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
