Forey, Staples marry in Clarion

Karen Marie Forey and Kevin Donald Staples were united in marriage on July 30, 2011, at St. John Catholic Church in Clarion, with Rev. Nils Hernandez officiating. Music was provided by Erin Schany of Emmetsburg and Monte Leichsenring of Clarion. Lector was Megan Forey of Fort Dodge, niece of the bride.

Karen is the daughter of Jennie Forey and the late Richard Forey of Ruthven. Kevin is the son of Don and Gail Staples of Clarion.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother. Carrie Meyer of Cedar Rapids was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Forey of Fort Dodge, niece of the bride, Courtney Hansen of Latimer, Jennifer Scott of Osceola, and Mindy Thornton of Urbana. Personal attendants were Ashley Forey of Spencer and Sadie Forey of Ruthven, both nieces of the bride.

Dave Smith of Clarion served as best man. Groomsmen were Tom Conlon of Clarion, Aaron Lewis of Algona, Mike Bowman of Clarion and Mike Howey of Meservey.

Ushers were Dave Forey of Ruthven, brother of the bride; Doug and Joe Herrig of Wall Lake, both nephews of the groom; and Eric Comstock of Cherokee. Guestbook attendants were Colette Henningsen of North Liberty and Nicole Wichman of Grimes, both nieces of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Franklin County Convention Center in Hampton. Hosts and hostesses were Jim and Nancy Herrig of Wall Lake, sister and brother-in-law of the groom, and Steve and Je Muhlenbruch of Latimer.

Karen teaches for the Clarion-Goldfield School District and Kevin works for Pfizer in Eagle Grove.

After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple reside in Goldfield.
