Visitation is from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home in Lake View.
Elenora Joyce Wright was born on June 25, 1923, at home in Carnarvon, to parents Clifford "Bill" and Tena (Meyer) Wright. She spent her childhood in Carnarvon and attended Carnarvon School through the eighth grade. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View, being baptized on Jan. 8, 1955. She was confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, on April 21, 1996.
She was married to Jessie Jay Morton on July 18, 1941. To this union, two sons were born: Bill and Steve. She was fortunate to find love again in Jess Bromley and then later in Ivan Wurr. She worked hard to support her family as a restaurant owner and grocery store clerk until her retirement in June 1985. She had many hobbies which included cross-stitching, crossword puzzles and playing Euchre. She had many memorable times including camping with her sons at Jess' work site, traveling to Deadwood, S.D., with Ivan and sons and their families, and family reunions each July 4th She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Elenora's memory include her sons: Bill (Joyce) Morton, Sioux Rapids, Steve (Vicki) Morton, Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren: Chad (Sara) Morton, Boone, Todd (Cheryl) Morton, Linn Grove, Tami (Ravi) Karri, Omaha, Neb.; great-grandchildren: Rachel and Ben Wagner, Jenna Morton, Boone, Damian Morton and special friend Courtney Farris, Laurens, Riley Morton, Sheldon, Gavin Morton, Diamond James, Dawson and Karly Hatch, Linn Grove, Delaney Ferguson, Omaha, Neb.; brother Melvin (Mildred) Wright, Sac City; sisters: Darlene Campbell, Spencer, Delores Blessington, Lake View, and Donna Daiker, Onamia, Minn.; and a host of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Tena Wright; husbands: Jess Morton, Jess Bromley, and Ivan Wurr; brothers: Robert, Wayne and Kenny Wright; and sister Dorothy Hintz.
