Casting Crowns to perform at 2012 Clay County Fair

The Clay County Fair has landed Christian music's most successful act, Casting Crowns, for the 2012 Clay County Fair. Casting Crowns will deliver their passionate, thought-provoking music on the grandstand stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

"It is a joy to be able to announce such a high-caliber Christian act for the Clay County Fair," Clay County Fair Secretary/Manager Jeremy Parsons said. "I know for many Christian music fans this is another Christmas gift they will enjoy next September."

Since 2009, Casting Crowns has toured the world consistently delivering music that points believers back to what truly matters. The band - including Mark Hall, Megan Garrett, Melodee DeVevo, Hector Cervantes, Chris Huffman, Juan DeVevo and Brian Scoggin - has performed for nearly 1 million fans in more than 175 cities around the world including performances for U. S. troops in Kuwait and Qatar, all while juggling faith, family, music and ministry.

Since its launch in 2003, the band has garnered 23 GMA Dove Awards, a GRAMMY Award and an American Music Award, and eight chart-topping radio singles. Casting Crowns has sold more than 4.5 million albums to date and has been named Billboard magazine's top-selling Christian act for the past four years.

Ticket information, including the announcement of an opening act, will be available this spring.

Way to go, Spencer Iowa and the Clay County Fair!!!! Good choice to bring in Casting Crowns for the fair in Sept., and Newsboys in March! =)
