'Keeping It Fresh' with youth lock-in

Spencer Community Youth Ministries will host a Youth Lock-In, "Keeping It Fresh," at the Spencer Family YMCA on Friday evening, Dec. 30, for youth in grades 6-12.

The cost is $10. Youth are also encouraged to contribute canned goods for Upper Des Moines Opportunity. Registration forms are available at local churches and can also be completed by parents/guardians when they drop their youth off at the Y.

Registration will take place from 9:30-10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30. The lock-in will be from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The night will feature Go Ministries, a dynamic group of young musicians and speakers from Minneapolis, video game tourneys, an open pool, basketball and dodgeball tournaments, karaoke, group games, board games, walleyball and racquetball tournaments, snacks and more.

Door prizes contributed by numerous Spencer area businesses will be given away at the end of the lock-in.

Spencer Community Youth Ministries is comprised of youth pastors/advisors, educators and volunteers from local churches working in a cooperative ecumenical spirit to provide Christ-centered activities for the youth of Spencer and the surrounding area.
