Alcohol, drugs discovered at underage party

A search warrant executed by the Clay County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Spencer Police Department, resulted in eight arrests on alcohol and drug charges at 3:35 a.m. Saturday.

The search warrant, executed at 1206 Moore St. in Greenville, was based on information received of an underage drinking party.

Upon conducting a search of the residence, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and numerous alcoholic beverages were found. Smokey Stover, 19 and Adam Knutson, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile female - all of Greenville; Alexis Schindler, 18, Christian Lamoureux, 18, Spencer Erb, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile male - all of Spencer; and a 16-year-old juvenile female, from Royal, were all taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.

Knutson and Stover were charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and underage alcohol possession, a simple misdemeanor.

Lamoureux, Schindler and Erb were all charged with underage alcohol possession, a simple misdemeanor.

The five adults were held in the Clay County Jail to appear before the magistrate.

The three juveniles were cited into juvenile court for underage alcohol possession and were released to the custody of their parents.
