Pemberton had the green light and began crossing the intersection with East Fourth Street, striking the front passenger side of the Illg vehicle. Pemberton fell from the bike after the collision.

The young bike rider was evaluated at the scene and walked to the Spencer Hospital Ambulance under his own power, escorted by a Spencer firefighter, following a preliminary evaluation at the northeast corner of Fourth Street and Grand Avenue. To bad this had to happen. I'm glad Colby is okay. But, I thought that there was no riding bikes on the sidewalks and you walked your bike across the intersection unless you were riding on the street.

I meant to say, no riding bikes on the sidewalks

along Grand, from the Dream Center to 1st. St.

because of the retail businesses.

Thank goodness everyone is ok. I understand how this could happen, and it can be a lesson for all.

The laws for bikes are the same as for cars.

Yeah yeah, walk your bike along the overcrowded sidewalks of busy downtown Spencer. Walk your across the bridge, if you ride it someone might get hurt. The cops will tell you to ride your bike ON Grand Ave, which I feel is way more dangerous.
