Wednesday, June 29, 2011

The Tigers picked up just three hits in a 9-0 loss at home to Estherville-Lincoln Central Tuesday night in a make-up game from earlier in the month.

ELC scored one in each of the first three innings, four in the top of the fifth, and two in the top of the seventh.

Amy McLaury picked up two of the hits, and Kelli Kramer singled in a pinch-hit at bat for Spencer's three hits.

ELC's Ashley Weston went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Melissa Gjerde held Spencer's offense in check to pick up the win.

McLaury took the loss in seven innings, giving up nine runs (five earned) on seven hits, three walks and five strikeouts.

The Tigers committed four errors.

Spencer will play ELC again Wednesday night in Estherville.
