Sue Ann Wodka was born on June 21, 1962 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Basil and Kay (Streit) Monkelien. She graduated from Spencer High School, in Spencer, Iowa and Iowa State University. Sue was united in marriage to Jeffry Jon Wodka on September 26, 1987 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Ames, Iowa.
