Services for Jeffrey L. Rosacker will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Living Word Church in Spencer.

Jeffery Lynn Rosacker, son of Dale and Betty (Capner) Rosacker, was born April 14, 1954, in Sioux City, Ia. He received his education at Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School, graduating in 1972.

On Aug. 13, 1977, Jeff was united in marriage to Marian "Marti" Martini at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Emmetsburg, Ia. To this union four children were born.

Jeff was a self-employed contractor in the area and had also been employed at Great Lakes Cattle Company. Earlier Jeff had worked for NFO and had farmed in the area.

Jeff was an active member of the Living Word Church in Spencer, where he was a member of the Praise Team musical group. Jeff sang and played bass guitar for this group.

Jeff enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was always willing to help others and was especially interested in music ministry and outreach ministries.

Jeff passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Ia. at the age of 56. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale.

He is survived by his wife, Marti of Ruthven, Ia.; his children: Ryan and Crystal Rosacker of Ruthven, Ia., Aaron and Monica Rosacker of Ruthven, Ia., Nathan and Julie Rosacker of Dickens, Ia., and Megan Rosacker of Ruthven, Ia.; seven grandchildren; his mother and step father, Betty Rosacker Snittjer and her husband, Don of Ruthven, Ia.; sisters: Lori Eggers and her husband, Randy of California, and Carol Dykstra and her husband, Doug of Emmetsburg, Ia.; step-sisters, Kathy Cea of Arizona, Kelly Gourdeax of Arizona and Marilyn McGreachy of California; a step brother, Randy Snittjer and his wife, Marti of Arizona; as well as many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to Children's Outreach Ministry at the Living Word Church in Spencer, Ia.
