Funeral services for Everett LeMaster, 91, of Spencer will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Roger Maize will officiate the service.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
There will be a lunch served at Grace United Methodist Church following the graveside service.
Mr. LeMaster passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Longhouse Residence in Spencer.
Everett Allen LeMaster, the son of Eldin Raleigh and Nina Edith (Bailey) LeMaster, was born on Dec. 8, 1918, in Royal. He grew up in the Royal area where he received his early education graduating from Royal High School at the age of 16 as class Valedictorian.
On Jan. 20, 1942, Everett married Frances Prentice in Trenton, Mo. Following their marriage, they lived on the family farm near Royal, until retiring to Spencer in 1994. Everett was a member of the ASC for 25 years, serving on the board for 9 years, the Odd Fellows Lodge and Golden Kiwanis. He also was the township assessor in Royal for 2 years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards and bowling with teams from Royal for over 40 years. He was an avid reader and liked to recite poetry, but most of all he loved to spend time with family, relatives, friends and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Olive Shepley, Ruby Danielson and Rosa Warren.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances of Spencer; his daughter, Joanne Anderson and her husband, James Davis of Plymouth, Minn.; three grandchildren: Timothy Anderson (Cindy), Kari Shideman (Charles) and Corey Anderson (Janelle); six great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Traw of St. Louis, Mo.; other relatives and friends.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
