Funeral services for Mr. Gerry Lowe, 69, of Spencer will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Warner Chapel of Spencer. Rev. Tonna Parsons will officiate the service.

Interment will take place at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Mr. Lowe passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

Gerry Lee Lowe, the son of Arthur and Leola Franker Lowe, was born March 12, 1941, in Spencer. Gerry received his early education in Spencer.

Following his schooling, Gerry worked as a truck driver for Bob Weatherman, Morton Buildings and most recently for Great Lakes Concrete. Gerry was a truck driver for 50 years when he retired in 2008. In his spare time, Gerry had a passion for racing. He faithfully attended 44 years of races in Knoxville, three Indy 500 races and also was able to attend the Texas NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur on July 1, 1998.

He is survived by his mother, Leola Tucker of Spencer; brother, Ron Lowe of Spencer; his children: Ronda Robles and husband, Raul of Perry, Brenda Lowe of Perry, Michelle Osborn and husband, Ozzy of Des Moines and Amy Ness and husband, Steve of Terril; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Warner Funeral home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
