Rick W. Bossow
Rick W. Bossow, 55, of Mankato, died Monday, Sept. 27, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato, Minn.
Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato. Visitation from 4-7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or Grace Lutheran Church, Sioux City.
Rick was born May 5, 1955, to Raymond F.C. and Lillian L. (Roberts) Bossow in Sioux City. He graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1973 and from the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls in 1978 with a B.S. degree in Education. He was a public school teacher in Union-Whitten and Mondamin, Iowa and Wellton, Ariz. He then ran Pretzelmaker Stores in Spencer and Mason City, and worked in the Spencer Public Schools. He was presently a substitute teacher in the Lake Crystal Schools. Rick was united in marriage to Glenda L. Kramer Williams on Feb. 9, 2008, in North Mankato.
Rick is survived by his wife, Glenda; children: Rachael Bossow of Leavenworth, Kan., Carsten (Jessica) Bossow of Oceanside, Calif., Rebecca Bossow of West Des Moines and Aaron Bossow of Ames; four step-children; brother, Ray Bossow of Sioux City; two sisters: Barb (Warren) Backer of Farmington, Minn. and Cindy (Mike) Manley of Grand Island, Neb.; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; three sisters: Judy Hansen, Linda Lockwood and Valetta Cass.
