Funeral services for Mr. Charles Six, 68, of Spencer, will be at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10. Rev. Dale Hodges will officiate the service.

There will be no visitation or graveside services.

Mr. Six passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Charles Willis Six, the son of John and Ruby (Campbell) Six was born July 4, 1942, in Holbrook, Penn. He attended school and graduated from Rogersville High School in 1959.

Charles joined the Army March 26, 1964, and was honorably discharged in February of 1970. He also worked as a security guard at the Pennsylvania state fair.

Charles married Mary Smith on July 20, 1979. They later divorced. He then moved to Spencer where he worked for Wal-Mart and Shop-Ko. He enjoyed drinking coffee at Hy-Vee with friends, reading and working at the Clay County Fair.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Dora (Ron) Hansen of Royal and Rosemary (Paul) Hibbs of Hartley; three grandchildren: Steven, Jayden, and Hannah; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
