Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Mrs. Edleman passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at the St. Luke Lutheran Home.
Dorothea Edleman, the daughter of Walter and Minnie Squires Mileham, was born Dec. 14, 1914, on a farm near Curlew. She received her early education and graduated from the Garfield High School in Webb in 1932.
Dorothea married Milton Dale Edleman on Jan. 24, 1934, in Curlew and following their marriage, they farmed in the Webb and Spencer areas. While living in this area, she was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and president of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Hereford Association, Federation of Clay County, 4-H leader, 20th Century Club of Webb and the Extension Council Clay County. In her spare time, Dorothea enjoyed raising chickens, canning, working in her flower garden and her favorite time was being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton on Feb.11, 2000; two daughters: Carol Edleman and Peggy Maurer; two sisters: Marcel and Jewell; seven brothers: Floyd, Raymond, Homer, Hershal, Merle, Ray and Lyle.
Dorothea is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Betty and Ronald Carlson of Webb, Donna and Jim Toland of Ruthven, and Sandra and Clifford Hepworth of Royal; son-in-law, Bob and Pam Maurer of Sutherland; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Neva Rubel of Ruthven and Marge Neibaur of Mason City; other relatives and friends.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
