Funeral services for Margaret Voss, 79, of Spencer, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.

Interment will take place in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Margaret passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Margaret Evelyn Voss, the daughter of Glenn and Luella (Huffman) Ginger was born May 18, 1931, in Langdon, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Spencer, graduating in 1950. She then attended Buena Vista College for two years.

Margaret married Myron "Popps" Voss on May 21, 1953, in Langdon. She taught fifth grade at Ocheyedan before getting married. She enjoyed word searches, writing letters, watching the food network, but her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Myron; a sister-in-law, Lorrie Ginger; a brother-in-law, Donald Brehmer; and a nephew, Brian Brehmer.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Marleen Voss of Spencer, Martha (Randy) Killmer of Spencer, Mary Pollock of Fostoria; two sons: Merle Voss of South Weber, Utah, and Marlin (Linda) Voss of Fostoria; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Ginger of Houston, Texas; one brother, Richard Ginger of Little Falls, Minn.; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
