Matuska, Swart to wed Aug. 28

Tom and Vicki Matuska, of Spirit Lake, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Matuska, to Brent Swart, son of Bonny and the late Bill Swart, of Dickens.

Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Spirit Lake High School and a 2008 graduate of Buena Vista University with a bachelor's degree in human services. She is currently employed with Matuska Taxidermy Supply Company in Spirit Lake.

Brent is a 1997 graduate of Terril High School and a 2001 graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in agronomy and a master's degree in crop production and physiology. He now farms outside of Spencer and is a Pioneer Sales representative.

The couple is planning an Aug. 28, 2010, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake.
