Funeral services for Bonnie Juhl, 83, of Spencer, and formerly of Emmetsburg, were held Wednesday at the Holy Family Parish Center in Emmetsburg.

Burial was in North St. John's Cemetery near Cylinder.

Pauline LaVonne "Bonnie" Juhl was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Graettinger, the daughter of Roy and Josephine (O'Neil) Sloniker. She attended Graettinger schools, graduating in 1944.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Ulrick "Bud" Juhl Jr. June 22, 1947, in Graettinger. Bonnie was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, golfing, playing cards and trips to the casino. Most of all, Bonnie loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Bonnie passed away June 19, 2010, at her home in Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; and her sister, Dorothy Howard.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Marcia (Richard) Schlitz of Sisseton, S.D., and Donna (Wayne) Weig of Leola, S.D.; three sons: Brian of Reno, Nevada, Bruce (Teresa) of Mesa, Ariz., and Steve (Angie) of Shakopee, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
