Services for Georgia Mae Eissner will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John M. Christensen officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.

Mrs. Eissner (nee Shirk), 72, of Cheyenne, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Spencer to Claire and Dorothea Georgina (Hein) Shirk. She had lived in Cheyenne since 1971.

Mrs. Eissner was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Before her retirement, she was an office manager for Cheyenne Orthopedic Clinic.

Mrs. Eissner was a beacon of joy for family and friends alike. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, whose grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards, board games and gardening.

Mrs. Eissner is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald L. Eissner of Cheyenne; her son, Scott A. Eissner and his wife Debra L. Eissner of Phoenix, Ariz.; her daughter, Rhonda L. Eissner of Cheyenne; her grandchildren, Alissa Mae and Lucas Alan; her brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Beverly Shirk of Omaha, Neb.; her sister-in-law, Jean Eissner of Clayton, Calif.; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Lloyd E. Eissner.
