Corridor delegates meet with Washington representation

Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) meets with delegates from the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor of Opportunity including Spencer City Manager Bob Fagen (seated to Harkin's left). The senator discussed upgrading Highway 86 during the Corridor's annual visit. The group also met with Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), and Congressman Steve King and Tom Latham during the week. Other projects the delegates will advocate for include the Storm Lake restoration project and south side sewer, Spencer storm sewer project, Superior wastewater treatment collection system, East Center Lake drainage, Clay County geothermal pilot project, Storm Lake wastewater improvement project and support for the completion of US Highway 20.
