Renette K. Schoenewe

Renette K. Schoenewe of Dallas, Texas, and formerly of Everly, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas after a long illness.

Renette was born Feb. 21, 1956, to Ronald and Winifred Schoenewe of Everly. She was a graduate of Everly High School and attended the University of South Dakota where she met and married John House. Together, they had a son, Eric. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and spent a number of years working with deaf students.

Renette is survived by her son, Eric House, his wife, Julie and grandson, Jameson of Moore, Okla.; her mother, Winnie Schoenewe of Spencer; her older brother, Lee Schoenewe and his wife, Nancy of Spencer; by her younger brother, Marc Schoenewe, his wife, Patty and daughter, Amanda of Olathe, Kansas; and by her youngest brother, Greg Schoenewe, his wife, Beth and son, Tucker of Indianola.

A memorial service for friends and family in Iowa will be held at a later date in Okoboji where Renette spent the summers of her youth.
