Dale L. Droll
Dale, a fun loving father, grandfather and brother, who was full of life and always looking for an adventure. His three passions in life were his wife, daughters and golf.

As a young man, Dale was a Mason and later on joined Eastern Star. He owned and operated "Dale's Hamburger Shop" in Storm Lake, Iowa, which was a high school and college student hangout, serving delicious burgers, fries and chocolate malts. They also lived on the Spencer Golf and Country Club for over 32 years. The two of them loved to travel and play golf, where he was an accomplished golfer and had two holes-in-one. He enjoyed attending the Kiwanis Club and the Clay County Fair. One of the last 26 members of the Birthday Club, which was a close group of church members, spending endless hours socializing.

Dale, age 91 of Prior Lake, formally of Spencer, Ia., passed away on Dec. 18, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn. Born on Jan. 16, 1918, in Milford, Ia., he is the son of August F (Winnifred) Droll. He was united in marriage to Marian Jean Noll on Sept. 26, 1942, at the Wee Kirk O' the Heather in Glendale, Calif.

Loved and will be forever missed by daughters, Linda (Jim) Saathoff of Richfield, Cheri (Don) Miller of Savage;5 grandchildren, Craig (Jackie) Saathoff, Danny (Kari) Saathoff, Jami (Amanda) Saathoff, Carrie (Eric) Bull, Jennifer (Chad) Hoiska, 10 Great-grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Jacob, Harrison, Avery, Addie, Graham, Jonas, Abby, Will; sisters, Edith (Jack) Dalton of California, Pearl (Jim) Trebbien of Iowa, Reene Cattermole of Utah and many other relatives and friends. Dale is preceded in death by wife Marian Jean Droll; parents, brothers, Ira, Augie and Jimmy, and sister, Margie.

Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant St. SE. Prior Lake, Minn. Rev. Ron Nicholas will officiate.
