Charles Albert Phillips, son of John and Blanche Elizabeth Gabel Phillips was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Spirit Lake, Ia. He was raised in Terrell, Ia. with his mother, step father Harry Fiscus, two brothers and one sister. He graduated in 1941 from Lake Center High School, Dickens.

Chuck married June Elmerine Simington on June 15, 1943, in Jackson, Minn.

He will be missed by all who knew him. At the age of 86, Chuck passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, in Renton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: John and Harold; one sister, Sylvia Christine; son-in-law, Lynn Faul and his beloved wife, June who passed away in 2008.

Survived by son Chuck Phillips, (Judy), Wilbur, Wash.; daughter, Sandy Faul Renton, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great granddaughters. Five sister-in-laws; Marcella Simington, Cornell Wis.; Helen Phillips, Davenport, Wash.; Mary Ann Rouse, Emmetsburg Ia.; Janice Simington, Graettinger Ia.; Donna Bjorklund, Milford Ia.

Memorial service will be Dec. 11, 2009 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Renton, Wash.
