Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids. Burial took place in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids.
Donald Felix Gajewski, was the son of Felix and Dorothy (Olinski) Gajewski. He was born on July 3, 1953, in Chicago, Ill. Donald lived his childhood in the Chicago area and attended the Good Shepherd Grade School. He was a graduate of the Morton East High School Class of 1971.
Following high school, Don worked as a warehouse employee for the Edward Don Company in Riverside, Ill. Don's life has been blessed by one daughter, Allison. In 1988, Don moved to Sioux Rapids, where he owned and operated Crazy's Tavern. He was later employed at Ranco in Sioux Rapids for several years. Don attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake and in May of 2009 he received his Bachelor of Art's degree in human services and psychology. Don's special interests included hunting and riding his Honda motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Dorothy.
Don is being remembered by his family: his daughter, Allison, of Jackson, Minn.; his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Gajewski of Alsip, Ill.; his nieces and nephew: Donna, Michelle, Kristy and Scott; other extended family and friends he has made throughout his lifetime.
