Thomas Bert Hart, the son of Earl E. and Madlyn (Hamner) Hart, was born in Oakland, Calif., on June 26, 1969. Tom lived his youth and began his education in Richmond, Calif. In 1990, he moved with his family to his father's family farm near Webb. Tom graduated from South Clay High School in 1987. Following graduation, Tom served in the United States Air Force. He moved to California in 1989 and was employed by his uncle.
On Sept. 21, 1991, Tom was united in marriage to Melissa Matthews in Terril, and they were blessed with three children: Kelsey, Tymothy and Cameron. Tom worked for Stylecraft Furniture in Milford, for 5 years followed by employment with Maurer Manufacturing in Spencer. For 10 years, Tom worked for Spencer Auto Parts and then was a sales representative for Air Gas. His most recent employment was as a welder with Ranco in Sioux Rapids.
He had served as president of the O.H.B. Club.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; and one brother, Maurice.
Tom is survived by his former wife, Melissa, of Terril; three children: Kelsey, Tymothy and Cameron; his mother: Madlyn Hart of Webb; and three sisters: Katharine Fiske of Grass Valley, Calif., Clarice Hart of Round Lake, Minn., and Lisa White and her husband, John, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
