Funeral services for Margaret Elizabeth Schriver, 93, formerly of Okoboji, will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Spirit Lake. Rev. Kal Mann will officiate the service.
Inurnment will take place at Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park.
Margaret passed away on July 21, 2009 at North Central Hospice in Mason City.

Margaret (Margie) was born on Nov. 12, 1915, the daughter of Mary and James Murphy of Livermore. She was the youngest of five children. Margie was a graduate of the University of Iowa. She married Jay Shriver in Ft. Dodge, in 1939. They lived for many years in Glidden, Ia., where Jay Shriver was a dentist. They later moved to Spencer and then to Okoboji.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Kathryn, Rita, Celestine (Sally), and Francis.
Margie is survived by her two children: Susan Turner and husband, Jim of Marion, and Jay Shriver and wife, Karmen of Mason City; six grandchildren: Sarah Turner of Charlottesville, Va., John Turner of Dubai, U.A.E. (Angelika), Molly Juffernbruch and husband, Mark of Indianola, Timothy Shriver of Boston, Mass., Amy Shriver and husband, Andrew Welch of Denver, Co., and Kathryn Shriver and husband, Darren Dotson of Spencer, five great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Kathryn Shriver of Jefferson.
Memorials may be made to the Arnolds Park Library, Meals on Wheels, or the Hospice of North Central Iowa. Memorials may be given to the Arnolds Park Library Foundation.
