Egg company accident claims Alta man

The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office on Sunday released the name of a 24-year-old Alta man who died after falling into a semitrailer tanker being loaded with liquid egg product.

An investigation at Rembrandt Enterprises is ongoing, but deputies think Israel Garduno Gonzalez may have been working on top of the semi and accidently fell into the tanker at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Fire and ambulance personnel as well as the Buena Vista Co Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the rural Rembrandt company. Rescue personnel removed the victim's body from the tanker.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Buena Vista County Medical Examiners Office. The State Medical Examiners Office is conducting an autopsy.

Assisting at the scene was the Rembrandt Fire Department, Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Ambulance and employees of Rembrandt Enterprises.
