(Top) Two-year-old Baker Teepe, son of Casey and Darcy Teepe of Linn Grove, just couldn't get enough of the free watermelon served by the Hy-Noon Kiwanis during Saturday's Fourth of July festivities at the Clay County Fairgrounds. Teepe was one of many to enjoy the watermelons donated by Fareway Stores. (Below) A spectacular fireworks show concluded an evening of food, music and fun - provided mostly free of charge through area service club and business donations. (Right) The Avenue of Flags lined up behind the Color Guard and military branch flags in front of the grandstand as those in attendance stood and honored "Old Glory" on Independence Day. For more photos from the Fourth of July events, including results from the annual seed spitting contest, see page 2 of the Daily Reporter.
