Steve Daly, a nine year survivor of a Malignant melanomia, listens to presentations at the beginning of the 25th annual Clay County Relay for Life Friday, June 26, at the Clay County Fairgrounds. The annual event brings cancer survivors, family members and community organizations together to raise funds to fight cancer.

As a native of Spencer, and as current volunteer chair of Iowa's Leadership Council of the American Cancer Society, I was pleased to see your coverage of the Spencer Relay for Life. Cancer never rests. Those of us volunteering in fighting it cannot let up, either. Thank you to those who volunteered and contributed to the cause.
