Jerry Kilts, 80, of Spirit Lake, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the Ruthven Community Care Center in Ruthven.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Schuchert Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4-6 p.m. at the Schuchert Funeral Home.
Jerry Kilts was born on Oct. 2, 1928, in Milford, to Oley and Florida Kilts.
Jerry was united in marriage to Jean Logan on Sept. 29, 1975, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He served his country in the United States Marines. Jerry worked as a truck driver for 43 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Kilts; and seven brothers.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Jean Kilts of Spirit Lake; five sons: Billy Kilts, and his wife, Lisa of Ruthven, Bruce Kilts of Greenville, Jerry Wayne Kilts of Rockwell City, Bob Kilts of Montana, and Barry Kilts and his wife, Beth of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The Schuchert Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
