Beatrice Benjamin Huser, 83, a former resident of Everly, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell, Minn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at First UnitedMethodist Church in St. Cloud, Minn.

Beatrice was born Nov. 19, 1925, to Homer and Helen Ruth Benjamin in Hutchinson, Minn. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. She became a registered nurse at Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis. She married Norman L. Huser on June 25, 1949, at Vineyard Methodist Church in Hutchinson. She was a member of the Everly Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Women.

She worked at Spencer Hospital before moving to St. Cloud in 1965. She worked in surgery at the St. Cloud Hospital, from 1965 to 1990. Prior to working in Spencer, she worked in a similar capacity at Mayo Clinic-Rochester and in Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Hugh.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Norman; daughters: Mary Ann Greenberg and husband, Terry of Lubbock, Texas; sons: Bob of Maple Grove, Minn., and Ron and his wife, Allison of Maple Grove; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Wesley Benjamin of Hutchinson.

Her family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or to Country Manor Foundation, which provided wonderful care for her during her long illness.

Funeral arrangements are with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
