Funeral services for Lila Mae Pooler, 75, of Spencer, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Rev. Paul Hansen will officiate the service.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 26 with the family present from 4-6 p.m., Sunday afternoon at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Mrs. Pooler passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at her home in Spencer.

Lila Mae Pooler, the daughter of Albert and Vena Hopfe Kramer, was born March 24, 1934 in Everly. Her childhood years were spent in the Everly and Spencer area, where she received her early education at country schools at Riverton No. 3 and later graduating from Spencer High School.

Lila married Charles Pooler on Nov. 8, 1953 in Spencer. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer, where she worked at several restaurants and business. Most notably to the public, she worked as a waitress at the Center Café in the North Mall for 15 years. Lila also worked at the Dollar General Store and the Dollar Tree Store in Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles.

Lila is survived by her two daughters: Karla Pooler of Spencer, and Debbie and her husband, Frank Phipps of Everly; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers: Verlin Kramer and wife, Florence of Fostoria, Larry Kramer and wife, Shirley of Spencer, Gary Kramer and wife, Vicki of Iowa Falls, and Terry Kramer wife, Judy of Milford; and two sisters: Betty Menke of Spencer, and Glenda Peterson and her husband, Don of Spencer.

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
