Vickie Resene, 64, Carrollton, Ga., driving a 1991 Honda Accord, was traveling on South Grand Avenue at approximately 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, when she did not see a 1993 Buick Park Avenue, driven by Wendell Harris, 79, Hartley, slowing down and struck the rear end of his vehicle, and in turn his car slid forward and struck a third vehicle in the rear end, a 2000 Chevrolet S10, driven by Kevin Schley, 31, Milford. Resene was given a citation for not having current proof of insurance. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Honda Accord was estimated at $2,000, the Buick Park Avenue damage estimated at $1,500 and $200 damage estimated to the Chevy S10.
On Thursday, April 2, at approximately 4:24 p.m., Sherry Groenewold, 60, Spencer, driving a 2006 Buick Lucerne, and Amy Terveer, driving a 1997 Plymouth Breeze, were both backing out of parking spaces at Wal-Mart. Both drivers failed to see each other causing them to collide. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Buick was estimated at $500 and no damage was caused to the Plymouth.
Roger Clarke, 67, Spencer, driving in a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country, was traveling south on Highway Boulevard at approximately 9:31 p.m. Friday, April 3, when a deer entered the roadway, Clarke was unable to stop and hit the animal. No injuries were reported. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,500.
