She didn't like the cold winters, and decided to move to Los Angeles, where she worked at Western Carloading Terminal as an assistant auditor. She held this position for 30 years. Upon retirement, Maggie moved to Oceanside, Calif. She lived there until she became ill in June of 1999.
Since Maggie never married, her sister and nephews decided to bring her back to Iowa where they could visit her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Jeannette Baysinger of Peterson, Iowa; her nephews: Larry Arnold and his wife, Marilyn of Medford, N.J., Mike Arnold and his wife, Connie of Elajay, Ga., as well as David Arnold of Peterson; other relatives and friends.
