The last of four 90-minute "Eggs and Issues" town hall sessions begins at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in Spencer City Council Chambers, 420 Second Avenue West.
The event is sponsored by the Spencer Chamber of Commerce and brings northwest Iowans together with the delegation that represents them in the Iowa General Assembly.
The legislative update comes one day after "funnel week," when most bills must make it out of Iowa House and Iowa Senate committees to remain viable.
Invited panel members are District 6 Rep. Mike May (R-Spirit Lake), District 7 Rep. Marcie Frevert (D-Emmetsburg), District 3 Sen. David Johnson (R-Ocheyedan) and District 4 Sen. Jack Kibbie (D-Emmetsburg).
Another faithful panelist, State Rep. Royd Chambers, a Sheldon Republican, has not been able to participate in the first session of the 83rd General Assembly. He serves in the Iowa Air National Guard and is currently deployed in central Asia.
Previous Eggs & Issues installments were held Jan. 31, Feb. 14, and Feb. 28. The 110th day of the 2009 legislative session, when per diem expenses end for lawmakers, is May 1.
