Duffy to address ag economics

Dr. Michael Duffy, professor of Economics with the Iowa State University Extension Agriculture Department will speak at the Milford Community Center, beginning at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 5.

Duffy's talk, sponsored by Farmers Savings Bank, will focus on the changing dynamics of ag economics with an emphasis on the changing structure of the fertilizer industry.

"The commodity price against the input cost is not matching up," said Joe Simington with Farmers Savings Bank, explaining the idea behind the talk.

"We try to do this occasionally. We thought this would be a good topic. It should be interesting," Simington added.
