There are six contestants in the pageant. Competition in the Miss Shamrock Pageant includes an interview with the panel of judges, introduction in casual wear, talent performance, formal wear and an on-stage question.
Miss Iowa, Olivia Myers, will also be speaking and performing during the pageant.
The public is invited to attend the pageant, which is the kickoff to the annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration. Admission is $5 at the door.

Paige is the 18 year old daughter of Douglas and Susan Evans of Estherville. She has a younger sister, Kayla.
Paige is a senior at Estherville Lincoln Central High School where she is active in varsity golf, Big Buddy, TATU and is a STAR Program Tutor. She is a member of the National Honor Society and will receive a purple cord at graduation for community service.
She is involved in her church as a Sunday School Teacher. She is also active in dance and serves as a dance instructor. Paige has been a local and district winner of the Voice of Democracy Essay and has received the Rotarian Community Service Award.
Paige's hobbies include dancing, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.
Her future plans are to graduate from ILCC next year with her AA degree and then go on to a four-year school to pursue a career in nursing.
For the talent portion of the competition, Paige will be performing an Irish Riverdance to Siamsu, a piece selected from Michael Flately's Riverdance Production.

Bridget is the 18 year old daughter of Terry and Pam Rouse of Curlew. She has three siblings: Benji, Betsy and Brian.
Bridget is a senior at Emmetsburg High School. Her activities include concert choir, show choir, musicals, solo & ensemble contests, band, flag line, jazz band, Spanish Club, FFA, volleyball and basketball. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been named academic all conference in volleyball.
She is busy with community activities and is a member of the Ayrshire Beavers 4-H Club and the Palo Alto 4-H County Council. Bridget was the recipient of the Jeanette Anthe Outstanding 4-Her Award and is serving as the 2008 Palo Alto County Fair Queen. She is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and has been a participant in Relay for Life and Pedal for Pete.
Bridget's hobbies include photography, reading, singing and being with family and friends.
Her future plans are to attend Luther College and major in nursing. Her career goal is to become a nurse practitioner.
For the talent portion of the competition, Bridget will be performing a vocal solo to "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid."

Miranda is the 17 year-old daughter of Laura & Jonathan Petersen of Graettinger. Her sisters are Natalie & Olivia Gordon. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Robert & Nancy Cozine of Emmetsburg and Lloyd and Joleen Petersen of Graettinger.
Miranda is a junior at Emmetsburg High School where she is busy in swing choir, concert choir, large group speech and Spanish club. She is also the captain of the quiz bowl team. She had the lead role in the musical, "South Pacific", participated in the NW Honor Choir at Dordt College and is an honor student.
Her community activities include being the treasurer of J.E.L. and a political activist with the Palo Alto County Democrats. Miranda has served as a junior counselor at the Okoboji United Methodist Camp, assists the Main Street Community Children's Theater, and tutors fellow students. She also volunteers with the local Girl Scouts.
Miranda's hobbies include singing, writing songs and poems, roller skating, reading, watching movies, Facebook, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her dog.
Her future plans are to attend the University of Iowa and pursue a double major in music and English. She hopes to be able to spend time studying abroad.
Miranda will be performing a vocal solo, "How Can I Keep from Singing" by Enya, for the talent portion of the competition.

Justine is the 18 year old daughter of Roger & Jean Wagner of Emmetsburg. She has three siblings Rachel, Kyle and Mitch.
She is a senior at Emmetsburg High School. Justine's school activities include playing the flute in concert and marching band, flag line and being a violin accompanist to the choir. She volunteers as a lab assistant at Emmetsburg High School. Justine has also earned seventeen credit hours at ILCC.
Justine is active in her church and is a volunteer violinist for church services. She has held a part-time job at a local establishment for the last two years. Justine has been asked to play her violin at several weddings.
Her hobbies include music, horseback riding, photography, bicycling and working on art projects. Her favorite art mediums are soft pastels, pencil and charcoal. She enjoys horseback trail riding and has competed in the Palo Alto and Clay County fairs as a 4-H member. She received a Supreme Grand Champion Showmanship award at the Clay county fair.
Justine's future plans are to attend a four year university to pursue a career in art and design. She would like to attend a specialized design school in New York City and also study abroad.
For the talent portion of the competition, Justine will play a violin medley of two Irish jigs: "Garret Barrey's Jig" and "Morrison's Jig."

Callie is the 17 year old daughter of Nancy Hoffman of Spencer. She has a 5 year old sister, Bailey.
Callie is a junior at Spencer High School where she has been involved in concert band, marching band, pep band, color guard and track.
Her community activities include teaching football cheerleading to young girls in 3rd -- 6th grade. She is also a blood donor. Callie also works as a waitress at the American Classic Café.
Callie's hobbies include tap, jazz and clog dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Her future plans are to attend college to study dance. Callie's career goal is to have her own dance studio.
For the talent portion of the competition, Callie will be performing a jazz dance to "So What" by Pink.

Sarah is the 16 year old daughter of Dr. Paul & Laura Matthews of Emmetsburg. Her siblings are Beth, Michael, Alex, Christian, Luke, Therese, Mary Clare and Benedict.
Sarah is a sophomore at Bishop Garrigan High School where she is involved in chorus, show choir, jazz choir, dance and madrigal solo. She was a member of the 2008 All State Chorus.
She is very involved in her church where she is a CCD teacher, a cantor at mass, and a member of JAM. She was a part of the Mainstreet Community Theater's production of "GI Jukebox."
Sarah's hobbies include playing the piano, singing, dancing and exercising.
Her future plans are to attend college and major in musical performance.
For the talent portion of the competition, Sarah will be performing a vocal solo, "Defying Gravity" from the musical, "Wicked."
