Permilla "Pam" Farmer, 91, of Friendship Village passed away at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, at Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 following a brief illness.

Funeral services for Pam will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

Burial will be preceded by private family committal at Waterloo Cemtery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., today, at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Pam was born June 29, 1917 in Spencer, the daughter of Lewis and Nettie Jinks Lienemann. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1935. Pam married Paul W. Farmer September 29, 1940 in Spencer.

She worked for the Waterloo Community Schools from 1960 to 1974 as a secretary at West High retiring from the Guidance Office.

Pam was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Friendship Village Auxiliary, Elklets, and Waterloo Women's Golf Association.

She is preceded in death by brother, Embree Lienemann; and sisters: Sue Messinger and Lois Ayres.

Pam is survived by her husband of Waterloo; sons: Royce Farmer and wife, Kathy of Pella, and Thomas Farmer and wife, Karen of Oelwein; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren

Memorials in lieu of flowers to Friendship Village Auxiliary or Cedar Valley Hospice.
