(Photo submitted) Joe Steele and daughter, Ally of Spencer are excited about the upcoming Father/Daughter Dance, Feb. 28 sponsored by Cherish Center.

Cherish Center's second annual Father/Daughter Dance benefit will be held from 7-10 p.m., Feb. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford.

It is no secret, a healthy father-daughter relationship is critically important to the emotional health of a young girl and follows her into her adult life. That's why several area "dads" are working to heighten the awareness of this important relationship.

The goals of this event are to provide fathers an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with his daughter, show her how much he values her, and begin to lay the groundwork for how she should be treated on a date.

The cost is $25 per family and will include the dance, snacks, and a picture to remember the evening.

Tickets can be purchased at Farmers Savings Bank, Cherish Center, First Lutheran Church, Good News Community Church, First Presbyterian Church, Faith Evangelical Free Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Lakes area; and Hope Reformed Church, Bethany Lutheran Church, and On Eagle's Wings in Spencer. The event is open to all ages of fathers and daughters. Besides the memories made, Cherish Center will benefit in the process.

Call Brad or Laurie Simington with questions at 338-2290 or send email to blsimington@milfordcable.net.
