William Clifford Willison, 95 passed away Jan. 4, 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Msgr. Kenneth A. Seifried officiated the service.

Interment took place at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

Cliff passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at the Milford Nursing Center where he had been a resident March of 2007.

William Clifford Willison was born to Perry and Zona (Whitsman) Willison at Mason, Illinois on Nov. 29, 1914. He was six years of age when his family moved from Effingham County, Ill., to Okoboji Township. He graduated from the original Okoboji School.

On Aug. 29, 1939 he was united in marriage to Alvena Barbara Wittrock at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. They farmed for many years in Lakeville Township.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Parish and Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvena; brothers: Wayne, Richard, and Dale; and sisters: Lucille and Zola.

Cliff is survived by his four children: Janet Delaney and husband, Jerry of Lake Park, John Willison and wife, Tuttie, Leslie Hoffman, and Connie Cable and husband, Don -- all of Milford; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; his brother, Chuck Willison and his wife, Betty; and sisters in law: Ruby Goodell, and Shirley Willison.
