Muggabeans opens new coffee shop in Spencer Hospital

Coffee lovers who have missed stopping at Muggabeans coffee shop formerly located in downtown Milford can look forward to visiting Muggabeans in its new location at Spencer Hospital.

Owner Deb Coleman recently closed her Milford shop and opened Muggabeans in a new location, situated on the first floor of Spencer Hospital adjacent to the cafeteria.

"We are really enjoying our new location within Spencer Hospital," said Coleman. "Fortunately many of our former loyal customers have found us in our new location and it's absolutely great meeting our many new customers."

Muggabeans is open each Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop serves a wide array of specialty coffee drinks as well as breakfast and luncheon specials. Each morning customers can select from fresh baked scones, muffins, biscotti and breakfast pizza, then at lunch enjoy sandwiches or Piccadilly pizza slices. Muggabeans also has full size pizzas on hand which customers can order for dine-in or take out.

"I really appreciate all the assistance we've had in getting our shop open within the hospital," Coleman said. "The hospital has even allowed us to designate two limited-time parking spaces on East 11th Street near the south entrance of the hospital so customers can stop by on their way to work or elsewhere to pick up a cup of coffee or any other treat they'd like. While we are thrilled to be serving staff and visitors to Spencer Hospital, we welcome others in the community to stop in and try out our selection of coffees and food items."
